Madison’s Celebrates its 17th Annual Pancake Festival
Madison, WI: Madison’s 17th Annual Pancake Festival will be held this coming Saturday and Sunday in James Madison Park. This non-profit event is sponsored by the Betterment Association of the Madison Area, Inc. with participation from Madison Area Jaycees.
It will last two days and will bring almost a million people to this small, picturesque town.
For the citizens, pancake plates will be served on both days, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The price is $12 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under. The ticket fee will include the cost of admission for the event and free refills all day. Pancakes will have your choice of toppings such as nuts, berries, jams, syrups, and bananas.
«This will be an occasion full of entertainment, and activities for the community. The money we fundraise from this local event will be used for general improvements needed for the City,» said the mayor of Madison, WI, Satya Rhodes-Conway. This non-profit event will be used to collect funds for improvements in the city. Specifically, the areas that the event will focus on are:
- Park Improvements by the City of Madison
- Donations to Madison Volunteer Fire Department and the Gateway Ambulance Service
- Scholarships for high school and college students
- Streets Improvements
Some attractions at the event include local golf clubs, clogging, over 100 booths, arts and crafts, carnival rides, general fair fare, and live music concerts. Our main volunteers include churches, high schools, local businesses, colleges, and residents from surrounding areas.
